Our number one priority at the Sheriff’s Office is to do everything we can to help flatten the curve and the spread of the COVID-19 Virus. We are taking extra precaution and changing procedures to ensure that the safety, health, and well-being of our staff, inmates and the public are taken seriously.
As of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 the lobby for the Criminal Investigations Division will be closed to the public. If you need immediate assistance please call 911, if you need a copy of a report, to speak with an investigator, or to make an appointment with Sergeant Mike Lavoie, please contact reception at 770-830-5916.
We are also working hard to limit the number of citizens that enter our jail lobby, we ask that if possible, please make all jail deposits for inmate accounts remotely by visiting deposits.jailatm.com
If you have questions about an inmate, we strongly encourage you contact jail reception at 770-830-5888 instead of coming to the Sheriff’s Office. We will work hard to assist you and answer any questions you may have.
Inmate visitations, fingerprinting, background checks, and criminal history reports are suspended until further notice.
If you need a copy of your incident report, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and once you verify your information, she will email you a copy of your report to limit you from traveling to the Sheriff’s Office to pick it up.
If you have a court date pending it would be best to contact the courts to be sure that your case is still on the calendar and to receive further instructions of what to expect in regard to Courthouse procedures. There will be a list of essential contact numbers attached to this release.
If you contact 911 with a non-emergency that does not require a Deputy to respond to your location, a Deputy will contact you and take your report by phone.
We appreciate our citizens understanding during this time of uncertainty and we believe that our goal within the Carroll County community is to stay safe, stay healthy, and look for brighter days ahead.
Please continue to follow our Sheriff’s Office Facebook page for the newest developments that could affect our community and stay up to date on when these above-mentioned restrictions could be lifted.
